NAATI-certified translation
If you're submitting documents to a government department, education institution, migration agent, or other authority, you'll almost certainly need to provide a certified translation. Studio Shiori is certified by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) for Japanese to English translation.
We are happy to announce that Studio Shiori has recently partnered with translation management platform AcudocX to provide quick and reliable NAATI-certified translations for your convenience.

Extract or full translation?
It's important that you request the correct translation type to avoid costly delays when applying to government departments.
Extract translations are used for visas and migration, proving identity, and other official purposes in Australia. Only the relevant information (names, dates, places, etc.) is translated and presented on an official template.
Full translations are exact replications of the original document, translated into English. Everything is included in the translation. This is suitable when full translations are stated as being a requirement.
We strongly recommend confirming whether you need an extract translation or full translation before proceeding!

1. Upload your documents
Upload an electronic copy or take a photo of your document and populate the required fields by highlighting the key information and entering the English equivalent.
2. Make payment and submit job
Once you've populated as many fields as possible, make payment and submit the document for review.
3. Translator review
We check and edit the job. If we deem a field to be incorrect, we can edit it on your behalf for $2.49 per field (after editing two fields for free).
4. Customer review
If we make changes, the job is returned to you for review. Please check each field and use the message box to request any changes. Once you're satisfied with the final document, click ‘Finish Review’ to return the job to us for certification.
5. Documents ready for download
Once the job is finalised, the system will notify you that your documents are ready for download. If required, the documents can also be printed by us, stamped and signed in ink then sent via post for an additional postage and handling fee.

1. Upload your documents
Upload the documents requiring extract or full translation and complete payment.
2. Translation
We download the submitted documents and translate them.
3. Translated documents uploaded for review
We upload the translated document to the system for you to review.
4. Customer review
You check the document and request changes via the message box if required. Once you're satisfied, click on 'Finish Review'.
5. Documents ready for download
Once the job is finalised, the system will notify you that your documents are ready for download. If required, the documents can also be printed by us, stamped and signed in ink then sent via post for an additional postage and handling fee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does AcudocX charge fees?
Yes, AcudocX is a third party platform which applies an *additional 12.5% service fee + $4 (current as of 8 December 2025).
Is AcudocX secure?
AcudocX maintains the strictest security standards to protect users and their data, including mandatory 2FA for all translators who access the platform, verification of every translator and their NAATI-certified status prior to onboarding, and the use of onshore Amazon Web Servers (AWS) to host AcudocX locally according to local data regulations.
Do I have to use AcudocX?
If you would prefer not to use the AcudocX platform, you can send your documents via the Contact Form. This may incur additional time as a quote and delivery estimate will need to be agreed upon. Please note that for NAATI-certified translations, no cancellations are accepted after formal order placement (100% invoiced).
Can I get a physical copy?
Yes, please select the express postage option on the AcudocX platform. This will incur an additional fee of $20.
